A) Bus

Traveling by bus is very convenient in Dalian. Dalian has an efficient and comprehensive bus transportation system. The main bus routes run very frequently; the typical wait between buses is only about 10-15 minutes. Most bus routes begin operation early in the morning (anywhere from 4:30am-6:30am) and usually stop around 11pm, though some routes stop earlier. Generally, the bus fare is 1 RMB for non air-conditioned buses and 2 RMB for air-conditioned buses. The special buslines are as below:

201-203 trolleycar line
501-513 minibus
801-sightseeing shuttle

The others belong to common buses.

Upon entering the bus, you should deposit your bus fare -- 1 RMB for buses and 2 RMB for minibuses. You can buy an electronic bus card or a monthly bus pass. Note: All buses adopt self-service ticketing system, no change.

B) Taxi

Starting charge: RMB 8 for 3 kilometers and 2 Yuan/kilometer for extra distance. Remember to claim a receipt from the driver, which is helpful in case of lose of belongings.

E) Transportation from the Airport

Most hotels can provide pick-up service from the airport upon request. One can also choose to take a taxi to the hotel.

Public buses No. 701 and No. 710 shuttle from the airport to the train station. No. 701 terminates at Zhongshan Square and No.710 goes on to the harbor, Sanba Square and Erqi Square. Both bus fares are 1 RMB.
